Sephora Luxe - Luxury Bag #2 Review | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

These used to be called just Play bags that were extras that you could purchase on the Sephora site but now the new ones are actually called Play Smarts and there are quite a few available currently. I love these as they're usually higher end brands, more samples, or bigger samples. Yes, I realize I'm not only paying $10 for samples from Sephora that used to be free, but now I'm paying $15-$20 each bag/box for more samples. It's a problem, I'm dealing with it, but I actually like getting these extra bags because more/different things.

This is a good selection of high end brands.

I had a jacket like this, and I really didn't like it.

Tom Ford Black Orchid ($7.68) - This is a good but not great perfume. I love the patchouli in it but it's otherwise very floral-y, which isn't really my thing.

Hourglass Caution Mascara ($10.80) - I was so ready for this mascara based on all of the YT reviews, and it's actually a pretty good mascara. Very few ever give me exactly what I want because they always have too much length or too little volume. This was volumizing enough for me to like it, but I had to be careful because it is lengthening.

Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum ($40.00) - This is a very expensive sample, but the serum is so good. I don't know that I'd ever buy it outright, but I'll definitely enjoy if I receive a sample again.

Tatcha The Water Cream ($6.80) - This is such a good moisturizer. Plain and simple. This is something I'd definitely buy again to use as a day moisturizer.

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask ($14.43) - Christophe Robin products are hit or miss for me, this was a somewhat hit. I liked it and used it, but it wasn't my favorite hair mask.

Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl Color Enhancing Lipstick (Noir Revelateur) ($34.00) - I really wanted to like this because it's one of those fun black lipsticks that changes colors upon touching your skin/lips, but there wasn't enough pigment for me to keep it.

Swatch of Givenchy.

This bag was valued at $113.71. It was a pretty good bag, mostly because it introduced me to my new favorite day moisturizer, and I am overall pretty pleased with it.

As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments!
