Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - The Corundum Conundrum | January 2018 Polish Pickup

Hey, y'all! Hope your new year has started off well. I'm here today with one of the Polish Pickup polishes for y'all, this one by Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer. The January theme is crystals and gems and it's a doozy! You need to go ahead and check out the website - there's a wishlist feature now!

Polish Pickup is a monthly polish shopping extravaganza! Each month, there's a new theme (voted on by group members) and makers individually decide if they want to participate and create their own polish to meet the theme. This month, the store is open from 1/5-1/8, and you can buy as many or as few polishes as you want. The shipping is $3.00 total, no matter how many polishes you get, and they combine shipping if you make more than one order during the weekend!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's info:

The Corundum Conundrum is a bright fuchsia crelly with fine blue shimmer, gold and blue microflakies, and two different shifting flakies - blue-violet/pink/gold and blue/green/gold.

Brush macro.

Bottle macro.

Glossy nail macro.

Those flakies, I die! They look just like a crystal ready for display. The base is really stunning as well, and perfect for bringing us out of the crazy cold winter funk (am I the only one suffering?)!

You can see the color-shifting flakies better here. They pop so well under a glossy top coat, which I definitely recommend! The satin dry is cool, but you'll definitely want the shine here!

Matte nail macro.

Under a matte top coat, you can more clearly see the flakies. They don't have as much of the shiftiness under the matte, but they show more. Why not try this polish both ways? ;)

Formula: Amazing.
Coats for Opacity: Two coats.
Ease of Dry: Quick.
Texture: None noted.
Finish: Satin.

As always, let me know what you thought of this polish in the comments!
