Birchbox and Ipsy Spoilers! - July 2014

This month, like last, there was a huge uproar of angry customers because Ipsy didn't update on the tenth. Even though there was no clear reason, like there was last month, they didn't update until very early morning for me yesterday (11th). I honestly wouldn't have noticed if there hadn't been so many posts in various groups I'm in about it.
On the other hand, Birchbox did update my profile on the tenth. It had already shipped and I expect it any time now, but it was delayed on the website. I had been checking it every morning just because it had shipped and I had no clue what to expect other than the lip gloss by Cynthia Rowley Beauty, and that was only because I chose it last month when they sent out emails. I had the option between various shades of that and nail polish, but I was more curious about the lip gloss.

Here are my spoilers for what I am receiving! Overall, I am decently happy with Birchbox and am happy with my Ipsy.

After seeing others already getting their Birchboxes, I was shocked to see that the body wash is in foil packs. That's just ridiculous. The lip gloss is also tiny, apparently, so we will see how much usage I get out of that. Otherwise, it's your typical Birchbox. I was surprised that I received only five items, but I figure that they will be higher valued. I can't complain with only spending $5.00 on this after the points I'll get, so all smiles here.

Ipsy had been teasing for a while now, so I wasn't surprised to see I had received the sunscreen. It's coming in multiple boxes so I automatically knew I was going to have a ton lying around. That's disappointing because I have no skincare listed, and I received two. But at least I will definitely use the BB cream (#addicted). Otherwise, the eyeshadow could be good depending on the shades (it seems like everyone wants this anyways), the balm is hopefully good, and I might start contouring with the bronzer...maybe.

    1. I sure hope I like it! I don't necessarily need it all year long, but it's definitely more useful in the summer. :)
