Play! by Sephora - October 2019 Review | Frankly Kiersten Reviews

I have since cancelled my Play! by Sephora subscription.

What is Play by Sephora?: Play! by Sephora is Sephora's own monthly subscription box! Each month will include five deluxe samples plus a fragrance sample (or sometimes a hair sample), all coming from the same brands that Sephora carries! Each box also includes a Play Book (tips and tricks) and a Play Pass (a one-on-one tutorial at Sephora and a bonus 50 points with purchase).

How Much is Play by Sephora?: Play by Sephora is $10/month plus your state's sales tax (if a Sephora is in your store). It ships for free but only to the contiguous 48 states.

This month's Play was all about your face.

Info sheet.

BeautyBlender Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundation (1.10N) ($8.00) - I liked this foundation fine. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst, and it was a good shade match for me.

Tarte SEA Water Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 (12B Fair Beige) ($6.50) - This was a shade too dark for me, so I passed it along. I did own this (I bought it when it first came out and wore it far past the SPF expiring) and it's gorgeous as a light coverage foundation.

Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin Full Coverage Foundation (Y205 Alabaster) ($6.02) - I have received this a couple of times through Sephora and loved it so much that I ended up buying this in a full size. It says this is a warm shade, but it's really more of a neutral tone.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($4.19) - Another holy grail item, so much so that I keep an extra bottle or two always because I don't want to run out. The sprayer is always great and your makeup LASTS when you use this.

MoroccanOil Night Body Serum (Sample) - This was weird and left me feeling super gross and oily.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($9.00) - I used to love this primer but have since graduated to better ones. Pass.

This bag was valued at $33.71, but it seemed lower because of how small everything was.

As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments below!
