Play by Sephora - May 2016

What is Play by Sephora?: Play! by Sephora is Sephora's own monthly subscription box! Each month will include five deluxe samples plus a fragrance sample, all coming from the same brands that Sephora carries! Each box also includes a Play Book (tips and tricks) and a Play Pass (a one-on-one tutorial at Sephora and a bonus 50 points with purchase).

How Much is Play by Sephora?: Play by Sephora is $10/month plus your state's sales tax (if a Sephora is in your store). It ships for free but only to the contiguous 48 states.

I was able to get a subscription during April, but it did take inputting five different email address before one was finally let in. Play! is still running on a waitlist, so you will have to sign up and wait for either a spot to open or when they open the list for a few hours again.

After I found out I was going to start getting Play!, I honestly did a little dance. This box in the mailbox made me so excited.

I guess the May box was the first that came with a bag, which both made me happy and sad at the same time. I have so many bags, I have no idea what to do with them!

Instead of the typical 'card,' there is a whole fold-out sheet. Not shown, the opposite side has the card for the bonus 50 points you receive if you make a purchase within the dates listed.

Atelier Cologne (Orange Sanguine) (Sample) - I really like this scent (I will like just about anything orange scented), but I hate how expensive it is. This perfume will become one that I have just for super fancy occasions!

Origins Maskimizer/Clear Improvement/Drink Up (Samples) - Maskimizer is Origins' mask primer for most masks, and it comes in a really easy-to-use spritzing bottle. The two masks are two of Origin's most popular, and for good reason. I currently preferred the Drink Up one right not, entirely due to how dry my skin has been recently. Both are baby samples that are barely enough for one use.

Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial ($12.09) - First off, I love how big of a sample this is. It's definitely enough for multiple uses and will definitely give you an idea of how well it works with your skin. I definitely will consider buying a full size of this when I run out, it just feels like it works and doesn't cause any dryness or tightness to make it uncomfortable overnight.

Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! ($9.00) - I don't have too many words for this product, it has been a favorite of mine for going on two years and I still buy and use it to this day. If your hair tends to be dry or split easily, I definitely suggest trying this out. I'm glad to have a sample size for when I go out of town, so I don't have to carry my full size one.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick (Kimchi) ($8.33) - This is described as Shocking Pink, and that's the perfect term for it. This is my first Bite Beauty product, so I was super excited to try it out! I love the formula so much, it's super moisturizing and goes on smooth. My only complaint was the actual color, mostly because bright pinks are not my thing.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Crayon (Latergram) ($1.80) - This crayon is life for me right now. It's really small, so it takes a little bit of effort to get full coverage, but it's definitely worth it. The color is nude leaning peach, and it stays on once you apply (for a really long time).

This bag was valued at $31.22, which is really good considering the bag is only $10. I love that the bag/box is curated by Sephora because that means you can actually find and buy the products you fall in love with easily. I didn't do the one-on-one event in May because I couldn't get to the Sephora (my local one is in a JC Penney so I have to go out of town), but I hope I can do it in June!

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
